We just had a wet pre-race at the European GP in my league. My free client strategy was set to start on wets, "switch to wets" if it rains and "switch to inters" after 4 laps if it stops raining.
Race time rolls around - no rain, just cloudy. I appeared to have started on Inters. All makes sense at this point.
I selected softs on both drivers manually for their first stop but did not press "pit" button. 5 laps into the race, my drivers both pit on their own. Both took inters.
Next lap, they both pit again on their own... taking inters.
Next lap they're pitting again.... I bet they take intermediates again. I left in disgust.
I'm about done trying to enjoy this game enough to see a reason to subscribe. "You won't have that problem with 2d" is not an enticement, it's an inadvertent signal that no one cares about converting new customers or allowing casual players to compete. World of Tanks, League of Legends, and other games thrive on the competition from free players vs. paying. IGP will not if the free client doesn't even work.
As I finish writing this, a friend in the league says I'm still pitting over and over... estimates double-digit number of stops this race. FUN!
