Hello,

Is there a rough rule of thumb, for ltr of fuel and effect on lap times?

Trying to work out strategies, and it's all guess work unless I know how much slower i'll be on longer stints

Thanks
Simon

Stay under 40 litres for long stints, more fuel is more weight which just slows you down.

Any idea how much each litre slows you per lap?

It will be track dependant on how much time is lost per lap per ltr

The basic rule of thumb as Warren and Ross touched on is; the more fuel the more weight to your car therefore, the slower your car is for as long as it carries the excess fuel. 40 is an excellent threshold.

Should you want more up to par info Simon, check this link... I'm pretty sure it will answer some of your questions regarding tire ware and its correlations to other variables... Tire ware and/or temperature up keep
I hope it helps you some.
