I have 2, soon to be 3, different accounts on here so I can run in different leagues with different friends. Any thoughts on having one logon being connected to multiple teams? Sorta of how RBR has Toro Rosso?

I'm not referring to sharing of monies, exp, design attribtues, etc. Just an ability to run multiple teams at once.

I've mentioned this many times in the past and it's never been implemented. I gather it's either not possible or they aren't interested in doing it.

Or it may be that it is on the 'to do' list - just not near the top.

I don't know.

Mmm I don't think it is. From memory last time someone mentioned this idea one of the dev's said something along the lines of "Nothing is stopping you from making multiple accounts" .. No mention of implementing it in the future .. Although I guess that could have changed since then.

It's technically a huge task, the system wasn't designed for it. So we just encourage people to make a second account if they want a second team.

I put this in an ideas post ages ago..

100.000.000 to start your own official team.

I asked in the league if it was ok with everyone to have a feeder team and they said that it was ok.

( I have only done this once so far)

I used my 2nd team for new drivers who need training and have a lot of potential.

So I trained up Jacob Taylor and once he was taking on the drivers from my main team. I sacked a driver and replaced him with Taylor...

All you have to do is to keep them at the same level or lower as your main teams level. So I trained alot in Physical, as that gives them the least leveling.

I have a 2nd driver who shows a lot of potential.. So i'll be training him until level 10 and then i'll just train him on Physical until he is about 15 on Reflex and Stamina, then it will be time to swap.

They said the only think shared is their cantina.

This.. I have made three active accounts myself that are all level 11, one about to hit level 12. This makes it handy for me as far as drivers go etc.

I've also recently been gifted two level 12 accounts by a friend who no longer plays. Currently I haven't done anything with his accounts as he already had good young drivers on there with plenty of talent etc but it's handy to keep the levels up etc and they are still racing in their respective leagues.

Personally I don't see the problem with multiple accounts - So long as you either a) Have them in different leagues and/or b) If they are in the same league together and you aren't using them to hold anyone up, there is no real issue.

The obvious response to this is that adding a second account is fine, except that the 2D subscription is expensive enough per year that to pay for two or more gets prohibitive.

It'd be nice if you could add a junior team to your account for, say 5 extra pounds a year if you are already a current subscriber. You'd just set up the second account as normal but get the 2D for it at a discount.

Yes, the ability to buy a 2D package that is valid for 2 accounts - I love this idea. I currently have two accounts on a yearly subscription and it is rather costly.

Have you (Jack, Andrew, whoever else is concerns?) ever considered doing something like this? Sorry to sound blunt, but as far as I'm concerned this game is impossible to win and/or even be totally competitive if you are a free user (unless you are spectating your own race with a 2D account, then you kind of have a chance but still practically impossible against 2D users with similar design) and it, in my opinion, isn't even worth playing this game unless you pay.

If I could buy a group rate, I would put 2D on all of my accounts no questions asked. I am currently paying $140 a year for two accounts on 2D in NZ dollars which is getting a little steep.

I like the idea of an extra charge for 2d viewer on a second team/account but know it will never happen, unless the 2 teams come under one login which jack has said the game was not designed for.....would be far too easy to 'cheat the system' otherwise.

I dont see them doing this

How would we ever distinguish two accounts as being from one person or not? Gary pinpointed my first thought, people could 'cheat' such a system with relative ease.

In fairness, that is an engineering dilemma, not a consumer one. :P

i think the main point here jack is to have two teams under the same log in, not two separate logins. if people from there are sharing log in details well then there really is no way around that because it already happens.
