Please can someone help me understand the wet weather set up.

It’s raining when I’m setting my Strat 5 mins before the race.

It’s at 2.5mm, and slowly increasing.

I set my Strat as M/M, and advanced Strat to use full wets over 3mm.

When race starts, if it’s 3mm+, I start on Wets.

If it’s 2.9mm, it ignores the fact it’s raining totally, and that it’s not over 3mm...  and starts on Mediums rather than Inters?

Can someone explain because unless you are there right before it starts, it all goes wrong.

If there's water on the track, why aren't you setting your strategy for inters or wets?  Especially if you're setting up 5 minutes before practice ends.

That doesn’t help.

It used to put you on Inters if raining previously (but not quite to advanced Strat levels).  Something has changed.

What if I’m not online 5 mins before.  Same principle applies.

I’m looking for someone to try and explain how it’s changed.

It's simple.  You told them to use Medium-Medium, unless the water level exceeded 3mm, then use Wets.  You never told them to use inters, so they didn't use them.  If you want them to use Inters, you have to either equip them in strategy or in water depth.

As I still don't use advanced setup at all (setting it to 5mm and 50 laps) I'm a bit out of touch with its workings myself. But as I understood it it's indeed supposed to go as Joshua wrote, stint one tyre from standard strategy until the water depth reaches the set threshold on advanced strategy from which on that tyre is used, once water drops in the race below that again it starting counting down the laps from the 2nd option and then uses that tyre. However I read several times now that there's somewhat to be believed as a bug, if you already set Intermediates for stint one the advanced setup seems, at least very often, to be ignored for the start tyre choice.
