When you renew a sponsor contract, the longer you renew it for the less money you get from them per race. Am i being silly or would lenghthening a contract make it so you could get more money from them? I understand when renewing supplier contracts the price goes down, but when renewing the sponsor contracts the money they pay you also goes down.

The sponsor are buying advertising space from you. With a longer contract you get the security of guaranteed income from them for longer thus offer them a better deal.

Yes, and that\'s why renewing sponsor contracts is not worth it.

There was a lot of discussion about this during the testing phase and this was thought to be the best option.

But thanks for keeping this alive as it may well be that more people think it should be amended.

Hello. Another question about renewing sponsor contracts: I have renewed contract that was to be expired after next 15 races (end of the season), extending it for 1 additional race. So now I have contract for 16 next races. But I see that I can\'t renew it once again (option is not available under this sponsor). Does it mean that one is able to extend existing contract only once (or once per race)?

When 15 races are used up (and you enter in to that 1 race renewed contract) the option will appear again.

So it is best to wait and let the contracts expire and renew negotiations all over again?
Do i see it right like this?
This would generate more income per race then to renew before it expires right??
Just to be sure ;-) Thanks.

Correct....only use renew, if for example, you have no time to negotiate...or just want to extend, say towards,to get to end of season....or even, if it's 2 races till you can comment again, to secure better deal

Yeah i have now 12 races left in my sponsor contracts and if i renew them now i'll lose about 100.000 per race.
Will i get more if i renew them like you say when there are 2 races left and then renew them???
Thanks for the help! ;)

No, the amount of races left in the contract won't change anything on the renewing options. However you can try a better deal negotiating a new contract with other sponsor or with the same sponsor after the current contract expires. If you break a contract you'll have to pay 100.000

oke thats what i thought. Let my current contracts expire and then renew them with the same sponsors.
Thnxs ;)
