My Best Driver is the Slowest?

Between my two drivers, we'll keep it at numbers for ease, my 1st driver is Talent-2 and my 2nd driver is Talent-7. Besides Experience, which is 6 for driver 1 and 5 for driver 2, driver 2 has better stats in every category. Driver 2 is paid over $100K more than driver 1. 

But driver 1 consistently finishes ahead of driver 2, and the gap has been growing. Why would driver 1 do so well with only Experience a single point higher, but nothing else? Especially such a huge gap in the Talent stat...I don't understand why driver 1 is faster!

Driver talent doesn't have as big of an impact at early levels, especially not between 2 and 7 when the rest of their stats are sub-10. The biggest impact here is your 1st driver weighing 12kg lighter than 2nd driver, and with a bit more stamina.

Physical stats > Driving stats

Think of talent kind of like a multiplier of their other driver stats. 
So a 10(50% max) talent all 20's driver (20 skill x 50% talent = 10 skill), and a 20(100% max) talent all 10's (10 skill x 100% talent = 10 skill) driver would be very closely matched. 

Its obviously not that simple, but that's how I've been calculating and seems to be somewhat accurate lol

My best driver is worst than my worst driver who is best. ?

Well, my statement is still correct. As far as skill in all categories, he is the better driver. As mentioned above by someone else, it’s likely all to do with the very large weight difference between the two. So I can’t call her the “best driver” when she’s not.

Well I think he should be re-labeled best stat driver, and the one who is leading the drivers championship should be called best ?
