I still consider myself new to this, even though I apparently earned a level upgrade to Pro league...love being at the back of the pack so this works out well... :/

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out which staff I should be picking when going to new levels but there's little to no info that I've found to help with this. I would have to assume, and hope that not all staff are equal just because they are overall the same level. When I look at their little triangles that show their experience, charisma, and morale I wonder if it really matters. I believe that morale is a trainable option via the doctor training but experience should come in time, I haven't seen anything to train charisma? But again, does it even matter or can I just pick my favorite name from any staff of the same overall level rating?

Specifically the doctor baffles me, where I can see no individual attributes but when training the doctor it says they will gain a random attribute point...? Did I miss something obvious?

There's more in this game that truly baffles me, but perhaps it's because the game is not fully implemented but still shows useless data anyway? At first I was excited to learn how everything worked and figured it would have a great challenge element to find just the right staff, instead it seems to be a waste of time to see stats that mean nothing and the challenge element is lost as I just pick a higher overall number and ignore the rest. I hope I'm wrong and have missed some obvious things.

99% of staffing features arn't implimented.

Chief Designer works based upon his overall, Doctor is suppose to work but nobody has seen a difference, the other two, just hire level 1's.

That's a real shame, been wasting my time giving the game too much credit :/

Thanks for the heads up David, much appreciated! Now I can lower my expectations and maybe enjoy it more

Do remember that the game is developed only by two people who have done a tremendous job so far, we are looking forward towards upcoming changes which are detailed in the Developer Blog with me and a few others are currently testing.

Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoy what it is. I just wish that it was better documented what is and isn't relevant, systems that aren't yet implemented, and what and when things are planned. Having worked with game developers both large and small, the biggest frustration I've encountered is empty promises and wasting time of the end user. When it boils down to it, no matter the product or industry that's a huge downside and leaves a bad taste lingering that could be avoided with relatively simple communication. If from the start I had been told that the systems were not yet implemented, I wouldn't have spent so much time trying to learn them only to be frustrated and disappointed that they don't work or matter and instead could have put my time into another area of the game to increase my overall enjoyment level.

Jeff - On the plus side you will be well ahead of the game when the features are implimented :)

Even I wasn't aware it was as high as 99% and I am a tester!

It being better documented is what I am actually working on on behalf the request of Jack. Look forward to it.
Just remember though many games, even those with tens of millions of subscribers will leave empty promises cause they simply can't or the time isn't right for it. In the gaming world, there is no such thing as promises, otherwise I would of gotten my Pony from Ghostcrawler.

David, I've actually worked in the games industry for 15 years so I do have a bit of experience with it (Steve could probably attest to a good chunk of that time ;) The general concept though is not to expose those systems that aren't yet in place unless in a beta build. Thinking of a little game like World of Warcraft which had archaeology in the original alpha/beta so many years ago, lots of testers were excited and looking forward to it but then it was removed from release since it wasn't ready and hence their 10M users weren't let down by seeing something that wasn't ready, and it only showed up after several expansions many years later. That's my point more so than anything else, if it's not ready it shouldn't be exposed to the general user base in an open release. I get that it could be exposed in the beta builds you and Jake have access to but for the rest of us, probably shouldn't see it in a release product.

I'll look forward to your documentation additions! That alone tells me the dev's heads are in the right place, just a resource issue at present and perhaps there's another area I can offer assistance to as well. I believe there's a lot of potential here, can't wait to see the game evolve!
