It's something that may have been suggested before but assuming it already has then... is there any headway on being able to add an extra tier to a league? If i assume it hasn't been mentioned before then... pretty much what i just said.

This has been suggested in a variety of ways, but unfortunately at some point you'll end up with the same issue. It will become a  vicious cycle. Not saying the current system couldn't use some tweaking.

Yeah the league system is overrated. I would much rather race against everyone have people promote and relegate through several classes. Who’s to say any one league is better than the other?

The rep system is for show. Sorry, but it’s true. The game strategies vary extremely little from race to race. In most races it’s the same tyre strat race after race.

It gets very monotonous. There is no real impact with stamina, either. Sure my driver is faster, but in the long run there is no penalty for me pushing more in a race.

Parts wear pretty much the same race to race. Engines pretty much the same every track. None of that makes any sense in real life.

There is very little management strategy to work on. The level thing is silly. How is it that I am level 14 and in the top 10 in Elite in my league? Sure I’m sure there are more competitive leagues, but the point is that 4 levels difference should not be competitive. There is no way to really measure league vs league, which makes the rep system somewhat meaningless.

Also, setting a car’s setting just based on wings, ride height and suspension seems, well, lacking? Every single race the wear rates on super softs are between 8 and 12%, almost every race can be run on softs - sure if gets hotter you can runs hards every now and then, stop the presses.

So if a track has REALLY high wear super softs wear at 12% and softs at 6? What? Come on. Where’s the reality in that?

Not much dispute on most of that from me El Chapo, it is a bit lacking.  Just because the pts were all done except for P2 and P3 mostly last race i went 2 stop medium and 1 stop hard, started near the back and got 5th and 12th. This is versus 3-4 stop soft. Couple of tracks you can sometimes get away with a double stint SS if it's cold enough. All depends on the train, but overall yes soft, soft, soft and more soft.

Imo, strategies do vary depending on leagues' characteristics(race speed/duration, 1 car vs 2 cars, and overall avg drivers' reps).

Strategies do not vary.

If you run 100% races every season they are the same at the tracks because they is not enough variation to qually or races.
Development is big 4 only so nothing there either.

Its about time they looked at more depth to this app, new tracks are great but please give us something to do when we log on outside of race time.

The operative word there Dan...."If".... the fact is, there are leagues running at different settings.

Can you say the same for races run at 50% duration?

What about the different race speeds?

In-house unique rules like using more than 1 or 2 compounds, some leagues randomly choose to band the popular tire choice to mix things up.

Mix that with 1 and 2 car leagues..... check them out.....You can not use the same strategy for all of them.

Respectfully Dan, However insignificant....strategies do vary.

This thread deals with the lack of real life technical applications in the app. To which most of us agree, myself included.
I know there's a reason for that.... Partly because the closer iGP gets to real life F1, the more likely F1 would want a piece of the pie. At least that's what I've read through this forum.

I can't see different race speeds making any difference as in my mind a 1min 30 lap (90 secs) at 1x speed equates to a 45sec lap at 2x speed but still denoted as a 1min 30 lap on the timing sheet. Engine and tyre wear is the same rate. (100% race distance)

In-house tyre rules are a different matter but I think it actually means that the thought process behind it is to negate having the same strategy over and over again.

Strategies do indeed vary, but i think in respect of a full GP in a full tightly contested league (or tier within) you may find people doing the same or similar strategy because it has worked in the past so everyone does it and when no one wants to stray from it for fear of losing points then it is indeed going to look the same every race, every season. Overall though the majority would agree that a 3 stop Soft strategy is the one to go for, even on high wear tracks in Med-Hard territory temperatures.

Well why are you flagging my comments on MY post when it was others making comments that were not about the initial topic Jose? If they wish to discuss something else then i'll respond to them, if i didn't i would have said so.
