I was running fuel tight today to hope to keep up with superior drivers, I started in inlap with 3.7 Litres with a consumption of 3.6 per lap on a hard push, however my car comes to a halt with 0.1 litres remaining in the tank. This is kinda really unfair, it's as if that 0.1 litres doesn't exist which caused to me to retire meters from my lap despite having litres left inside the tank.
Could there be a fix to prevent this as it's stupid to run out of fuel when you still technically have fuel in the car.
Here below is the retirement information on lap 36 of GB.
M Webber
36 | 1:19.030 | Fuel | 234.18 | 3 | 42 | 0.1
T Monteiro
36 | 1:19.201 | Fuel | 233.68 | 7 | 41 | 0.1
There is a request to allow a rolling feature to be added and I would recommend that be implimented by making that the car comes to a halt at -0.1 Litres, where realistically you would still get about 0.3 Litres worth of speed from rolling around on an empty tank. In this case, you would continue at full speed for the extra 0.1 litre to compensate for the lack of rolling feature.
