Currently a player can vote in a poll from 5 mins after they join a league. I propose that we increase the buffer time to multiple days (preferably 3).

It's useless to allow people that are likely to eventually become inactive to vote, with this feature the people who vote are far more likely to be people who will continue to be relevant to the league long after their decision. This would also greatly reduce the spamming of votes through joining with multiple teams to sway the poll in a player's favour.

There's no poll more useless and unfair than a fixed one however slight it may be, so this would be a feature that would positively affect most if not all future polls.

I concur. This avoids misusage of new accounts to manipulate the outcome of a poll, for instance for manager of the season. We saw last season someone voting with newly made accounts just to boost the votes for one manager.

So, for a few bad apples....every new player gotta pay the price?

Any league can set up in-house-rules. This sounds like those leagues that choose to, should have such rule in place.

This is very circumstantial to say the least.

New players don't know enough to make educated choices on matters that affect leagues. I support this move and hope the change is implemented to prevent further abuse of this silly game flaw.

I'd recommend 5-7 days to so leagues with inactivity clauses can root out ghost accounts that are idle. It also gives new players something to look forward to and up to a week to learn more about the game.

I agree let's make it happen
