Can anyone please let me know how do I hire more staff? I am just 1 race old in the game.

If you are referring to  the support staff. You need to upgrade your office first before setting up more staff. 
Also, you must be at level 2 to unlock this option.
TEAM > FACILITIES > OFFICES
