As I was watching the front-runners in my league, they chose a harder compound of tyre yet they still has the same pace when we (the midfield) have fresh softer compound then theirs. I always thought it's their car performance, but when I tried it it basically does wonders.  A little GIF of me and another midfield doing laps.

I gained and passed him later on. Anyone knows a logical reason why this happen?

Hello, I assume this is the Bahrain GP? In both the Pro and Elite tier of your league, the frontrunners were mostly running Softs in Bahrain.

Was the manager you passed attending the race and able to manage their push levels? Live managing push levels helps a lot with pace.

Also, a lot of help for understanding the game can be found on Joey McLane's Beginner and Advanced guides that are pinned near the top of the Help & Support forums. They are quite comprehensive and most players starting out or wanting to improve themselves have found these guides useful.

All the best.

Yes, it is the BHGP, and he was also there, to manage push levels and KERS deployment, yet I still gained on him and passed him as I mentioned it on my post.
