But, it doesn't say anything about the Stuff(not drivers) training. I see it is not possible, BUT do they gain/loss star points according to race performance, or are they stuck as you got them in the first place?

It's very frustrating that a TD(for example) you hire at the start of the season gets max rating and then at mid season there are, 2,3 levels below you. To hire a TD every 10 races would be stupid and expensive.

That's the way it is. In the beginning you level up quite often and later on it takes more time to do so. So buy new staff in the beginning maybe if you reach pro or have finished the first complete season in order too safe money and later on you can search for new staff every (second) time you level up. After the race you also get an information header on how much experience you gained and in the manager tab you can also see how many experience points you need in order too level up. So you can do the math if it's worth of buying new staff or not.

Eugen, Personally i wouldn't even worry about the TD that much.  Definitely don't get a new one in the middle of the season.  The before the last race of the season is a good time to higher a new TD if you have leveled up.  Once you get to level 14 and higher It will take a lot longer to level up.  More than 1 season.  The stars are based on your manager level.  if you are level 5 the best you can have is a level 5 TD (5 stars) at level 9 the best TD you can get is level 9.  So your level 5 TD will be 2.5 stars or close too and a lvl 9 TD will be (5 stars).

Same with drivers and headquarters buildings.  Everything is based on your manager level.  The higher the level the better staff and drivers and buildings you can have to improve your team.  Your manager level is the only thing that changes the number of stars.

In addition to the above fellow managers' advices, I would suggest you don't stop at just reading the rules but also take a look at some of the great beginners to advance guides in the "help and support" section here in the forum.

Cheers!

Staff cannot be trained. A staff's star rating is relative to your level. The reason that staff get less effective if you level up without getting better staff is to limit the performance gap between a low level manager and a high level manager. Having access to higher driver levels and higher facility levels is already a big advantage high level managers have. If a high level staff is also a big advantage, then the game would be too unbalanced. Therefore the game developers decided that as long as you have staff that are at your level, the performance is the same, doesn't matter if you are level 6 with a level 6 Doctor or level 20 with a level 20 Doctor.

You don't have to hire new staff every time you level up; you can hire at every other level.

So why is everyone stressing out over a level 18-20 staff?? I've been reading in this forum how scare level 18-20 staff are.... I'll be level 18 at this time tomorrow and was already worrying about it....lol!!! BUt you say the difference in minuscule!

@Hamlet
I have 4 CDs at the moment:

  • Level 19, +Handling, -Cooling

  • Level 19, +Downforce, -Reliability

  • Level 18, +Acceleration, -Cooling

  • Level 18, +Acceleration, -Cooling

I've been searching for good level 19 CDs for 2 or 3 months now, only found 2 so far.
Level 18 CD isn't terrible for me, but they do take 1 extra race (7 rather than 6) to bring their strength up to 50 for the next season. But a difference of 1 design point is miniscule.

Im good....you're right, 1 DP point isn't worth stressing out about it. The opportunity will eventually present itself just like tey have so far..... With the understanding of course, that those opportunities will be seldom at most.
