Seasons of the newcomers
Every couple of seasons, championships are taken by newcomers to the league and they manage to stand out. Time to dive into that.
In season 3,
DCR joined in the Rookie tier and managed to win all of the 17 races that season. That surely didn't mean that the other teams in the tier we're slow but DCR came from a Rookie tier only league and managed to win two championships before that. From there on, DCR went to the Pro tier and became champion again, winning 14 out of 17 races. Currently the team is in the Eite tier with again two championships added so far.
Season 5 in the Pro tier also went to a newcomer, well partially.
Variation won the first 10 races of the season but then other teams started to contend for the remaining victories. All season long,
Mac 1 and
Team CB were poking at the fastest of both Variation drivers,
Pablo de Souza, and from race 11 on, they managed to win 6 out of the 7 remaining races that season. In the end, Variation managed to take the Drivers Championship with de Souza but became 2nd in the Team Championship. The drivers of Team CB and Mac 1 filled places 2 to 5 in the Drivers Championship and that als was the reason Variation didn't take both championships, the 2nd driver lacked speed. Team CB managed to take the Team Championship and promote to the Elite tier with Variation. Both teams are still active in the Elite tier and became 5th and 6th in the Team Championship, with team CB to be the better one.
Last season, season 6, the Rookie tier had a newcomer again taking both championships.
F1 Moldova joined at the 2nd race of the season and like DCR, came from an all Rookie tier league. The team showed speed but in the first races but
goalies was the team to beat. That team dropped away a few times during the season giving others the chance to win. F1 Moldova started to show good shape and managed to win 12 races that season. Only
SimSync Pro Racing Team and
ART Grand Prix, the runner up in the championship, managed to win another race. Both F1 Moldova and ART Grand Prix are promoted to the Pro tier and will contend in the upcoming season 7, starting coming friday.
