Yeah, staff training improves your Designer, Mech/Eng and Marketer skill but I haven\'t noticed it doing anything to Chief Designer, Commercial Manager, Technical Director or Doctor.

You can\'t train your chief designer, you can only supply him/her with better facilities and support staff. The designers (support staff) do benefit from design training, with a skill increase of 1 each time.
So their numbers itself won\'t increase ever? Why do they have a blue bar then?
Mine is lvl3 with the blue at ~95% and absolutely nothing happened, though I did a 1, 2 yesterday, including pole and lap record.
Could you comment on that, Jack? You just said, that training has no impact on their individual skill-level but nothing about improvement with success (like Jake said).

Jake\'s assumption on race performance is incorrect, it has no impact. Adrian Newey doesn\'t get worse when his cars finish 10th, and the HRT designer won\'t get better because his car finishes 10th either. So it would be unrealistic to have such a factor.

For the heads of department you can\'t really make them much better with training, except for the doctor, who improves with health training.
So in the case of technical director\'s, chief designers and commercial managers, you can\'t improve them apart from boosting their morale. Better to hire new ones. I guess this wraps up the thread nicely, since that was the question in the OP.
