How many pit stops should I make in a wet race? Tyre wear is not an issue, but it seems like 3 stops is faster than 1 which is kind of counter intuitive.

One Part of strategy choice is tire wear, another One is fuel effect, the more weight you carry, the slower you are.

As said weight plays a huge factor, Keeping the fuel load low makes the car much much quicker, and when you only lose 16-22 seconds in the pitlane each stop it certainly pays to run light if it means you are almost 2 seconds a lap quicker than the 1 stopping car is. it only takes 8-11 laps to get a free pitstop (100% race used as an example)
