Hello there! I would like to suggest an option to switch off automatic pit stops as I just lost a race in which I had nearly 10 seconds gap to second and then when I was managing my second driver, the first one was called in to pits because rain dropped from 3.8 to 3.2. I had enough gap to stay and still win the race.

If you've been online (what I suppose you were reading your post) you could have stopped him from pitting. That's also part of managing your team. Although if it happens the first time you wouldn't expect it, I have to confess. Happened to me as well once, now I always check and keep an eye open if the rain stops and I don't want my drivers to pit yet. Be warned though that if you pit before the set laps you saved in your advanced strategy, your drivers may pit again at that set lap. So you have to keep an eye open there as well.
E.g. you saved pit after 2 laps if it stops raining, but you pit your drivers manually after 1 lap. They might want to pit the next lap as well although you already pitted them and refitted the right tyres. Happened to me as well.

My driver pitted 6 laps to the end, still had plenty of fuel and for some reason fitted wets again. If only it were fitted inters at least. And also added extra fuel. But yeah, if you say its part of my duties to watch out for a tool which I think it's supposed to help us, ok. I like the game and appreciate all the efforts made in it. Please don't get me wrong. It's just frustration as it's a head to head season for me...

The way around the auto-pit is to set the second option in the advanced settings which is to choose what tyre to be on after it stops raining for a certain amount of laps, set this to the maximum of 50 laps and then auto-pits will not happen.. this is best managed during the live race so you can determine exactly when you want to pit for new tyres.

Well I agree that it is supposed to help you. And it does if you can't attend a race. It also is good to have a preset strategy if the weather changes during the race and in the heat of the battle you don't know what to do first (especially in the mobile phone were you can just manage one of your drivers at one time. It also helps a lot if you set it right, because you don't have to change anything manually in the race. It just activates what you have saved and you can keep watching your race. If your managing your team live you'll most likely want to changes something anyway, like when to pit (a lap earlier or a lap later) or how much fuel you want to take on board (especially if it is toward the end). If you don't like to pit now you have to cancel it via the pit button which can be a bit annoying I confess. But all in all I'm pretty satisfied with the advanced strategy.

Yeah, I see the point. And also I understand my bitter words sounds like I hate everything about advanced strategy. I'm just advocating here that it may be  the interest of many players to have a decision on taking all the risks to themselves, for I surely would rather having full control of my team, for the better or for the worse. I just benefited minutes ago from auto pit on the very last lap from an opponent who lost 2nd position to me, so whenever the weather changes, the risk of someone who's online in the race having their strategy changed automatically is not rare. I play on mobile phone and yes, when it happened to me, I was feeling my first driver race was already resolved, so I focus on achieving a podium with second one. Then add I mentioned, rain stopped, mm decreased half a point and then I lost the race with a extra stop

If you don't want advanced strategy to be involved in the race than you have to do as Warren said. Put laps after it stops raining to 50 (more is not possible I think) and put change tyres when mm water on the track on 5mm. That way advanced strategy should be mostly out of the race, except in races where you race for more than 50 laps. Would be nice though if you could just tick a box were it says "turn advanced strategy off" if you don't want to have advanced strategy during the race.

Yes, that's what I mean! I did as suggested by Warren this last race and it saved me for good. But I feel worried for exceptional cases like you mentioned also. I think it would be helpful,if one accepts the risk and is sure to be present at race events
