So I go into assembly before my next race and click on the updated part for fitting then hit save. Is this all I need to do to have new researched parts fitted. After the race I still had the old parts on the car and am trying it again this race to see if they will be replaced

Check the box(es) for the part(s) you want replaced ahead of the race. Click the "Save All" button to save that (along with your car setup).
Parts should be refitted to the car 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the race (that is, when race preparation locks).

I believe you can also view those parts, after they are fitted but before the race, to see what kind of "pre-used" performance percentages your team is creating for the new parts.

After you hit the save button on the top right it is a good idea to refresh the page to make sure the check marks for the re-fit are still there. I know for doing changes to pre-race setup and the like that often times the saves do not take effect after hitting the save all button. I always hit refresh for the page and if it stays like I want it then I have no problems. Just something I noticed was all.

Make sure you have enough engineers and mechanics to complete the job. +1 on refreashing the page
