What did you try to do?
It was a dry/wet/dry race so had to change the tyres to that of my pre-selected strategy. During the 3rd pitstop SS tyres were the pre-selected tyres, I changed them to Soft.

What happened instead?
Intermediate tyres were fitted

Did the problem happen while using wi-fi, mobile data, or both?
Wi-fi

Did the bug happen in the app, on PC, or both?
App

What is the model of your device?
Huawei p9 lite

What is the operating system?
Android

What is the version number of the operating system?
7.0

Can the bug be reproduced?
I'm not sure, it happened to other players during the race

Was your advanced strategy before the race set to "use inters if rain above 3mm."? If that it the problem, many people have reported the same thing. An easy way to combat this, if you are going to be active for the race, is to set the advanced strategies as:
"Use inters if rain over 5mm."
"Switch to ---tyre if dry for 50 laps."
This way, it should not be able to make a tyre selection automatically, it will all be up to you.

Hi Mike,
Can you give the link to your race results? With that info, devs can investigate what happened. I'll flag your post for support attention.

As far as I know, my advanced settings were not changed to that. I actually changed the tyre to soft in the pit tab during the race but inters were still fitted

Thanks the link is https://igpmanager.com/app/d=result&id=23735306&tab=race

Maybe I can better detail when this error happens, because it has happened to me in several races with rain.
Taking my last race yesterday (China - 3.2mm of rain), I left my cars configured as follows:
- W / W / W
In the advanced settings I put:
1st car
- W (4.0 mm)
- S (9 turns)
2nd car
- W (4.0 mm)
- I (10 turns)
During the race I've been waiting for this bug to happen, because as I said, direct has been happening to me on the tracks with rain. When the race started I checked if the settings for my next stop were right and I was monitoring. When to my surprise, as soon as the riders announced that they were going to PIT, the game changed the tire types from W to S and I, respectively. I was able to modify this first stop in time and thought I was free of the BUG. I checked if the last pit configurations were correct, I verified that they were wrong (if I was not mistaken they were set for M), I modified both for W. I was not so attentive to the game in that last PIT and then when I saw the game changed the tires to S and I, the PIT button being inactive for one of the cars, only returning after I leave and back to the race.
I had already opened a call about this problem, unfortunately at the time, there was no return. Other players in my league have already had the same problem.
I would like to point out that in the race yesterday, the rain was constant, there was no oscillation in the game. I do not know if you had any problems with the weather server used by the game. Another point that I could observe in the various races that this happened to me is that when the rain stops, this problem also happens. But I think what triggers this bug is the first advanced configuration, the one that controls the rain level. In all the times that happened to me, I took the standard 0mm to 3, 4 or 5mm.
Finally, observing every time I went through this problem, I believe that if it were possible to add some conditionals to the game code, it would solve that problem. Or even, if it is to homologate new implementations, it requires more time, a simple key where we can activate and deactivate the advanced settings on the live race screen.
It is. I hope I have helped and I am at your disposal for any questions that I may have left in my story.

Hello,

Unfortunately we haven't had time to work on a fix for this error. I'll let you know when we get there.

Just a thought on this:
If u check the selected tyre for next stop, where do u do so?
1.) At the "Tools" Button at the top (menu opens in full screen)
2.) With the "Tools Button at ur driver (small menu below driver controls)

Afaik, 1.) has a bug where it mistakes driver 1 for driver 2 and vice versa. It is kind of obvious, if u have 2 drivers. Dunno what happens with just one driver.
