Maximum time 'is currently waiting to be confirmed at'?

Isn't there some time limit to 'waiting to be confirmed'? 

I'm waiting at least three days now to hire a chief designer. 

I thought the limit was 12 hours. I check a few times a day but she's still at this status. The other team is away or doesn't want her I suppose. 

Sounds like a bug.
I thought the maximum was about 3 hours but if you didn't reply in 12 hours then you lost the contract anyway.

Does you shortlist still state - waiting to be confirmed? - if so it is a bug, and at this time of the year, it might be best to PM Jack Basford.
