Not sure where to put this. I just wanna discuss the Turkey track.

So it's been a while since people have found Turkey funky. There has been no official announcement on whether the track's changed (spoiler: it definitely has as you'll see below). But I've been thinking for a while on whether to make a post after racing on what I call the New Turkey a few times on my other accs, but from my observations:

1. It now has the longest pit time in the game, losing ~25 seconds in one pit stop which may shift the effectiveness of strats on this track around.
2. The DRS zone on the back stretch has shifted slightly to a bit more farther past that silly right hand kink. From my observations you also have to be quite a bit closer to the car in front compared to before in order to get that DRS.
3. The start finish line is now around the end of the front straight, compared to before where the start finish was at the beginning of the straight.
4. The race time is slower by a handful of minutes compared to before.

So, do I like the changes? I'm not sure, it's different but I gotta get used to it. The one thing that sticks out to me is the pit time. It seems the car stays on the limiter for a really long time before getting sent out to the track at a snail's pace.

I forgot how the Turkey track IRL was and haven't gone to check it, so maybe the F1 buffs can talk about whether it's more to real life. But what do people think about the new Turkey?

The Turkey Grand Prix is one of the worst races on iGP. My last races in this circuits had a lot of problems... :|

Pit lane exit feels definitely slower and longer as you said. Your observation about the DRS zone could also be right. Missed DRS where I thought I should be within DRS distance. But could be a misjudgement on my side, too.

Turkey definitely had some problems in the past few seasons. GP is lagging at least for me. Some in my league also complained about connection problems in the last race.

Maybe these occurrences are connected to another and the devs changed sth in the past. I don't know. Was more focused on the technical issues of the GP. But your observations (at least some) seem to be true. Have to check the other points to say whether I can confirm them or not.

I was wondering the same thing about the changes.  I think they also slowed down the dog leg on the back (more braking).
For 100% races it seems races are approx. 4 1/2 minutes slower.

Turkey is pretty easy track to win at but i was wondering if they had made changes to it and seems like i am not the only one noticing it.

Hadn't noticed the pit changes but i will have to look at that next season.

Yes, I believe that's a part of why the DRS zone feels different. I feel that you now need to be closer to the car in front to get DRS as the speed the cars through that tiny corner before the DRS line is slower now (less speed, less distance covered in 1 second). I might be wrong about whether the position of the DRS has changed, but I do feel you need to be closer to the car in front now.

I believe a lot of managers who've race both the old and new Turkey would have the impression that something's different or off. A bit curious why it's Turkey that's the track that's chosen to get a renovation, when there are buggy tracks like Spain (lap 3 DRS on front straight) and Europe (weird lines for some cars at the start, notably causing the pole sitter to almost always lose 1st position at the first corner to the car that starts in 2nd). Maybe they wanted to try something with Turkey.

Funny, I just posted on my league's chat wall about how the pit times in Turkey seem to be taken a lot longer lately.

I realized the cars slow down much more right before bend on back straight as well.
