Hello,

Is it a possibility to change the reputation system a little? because in the ranking of reputation the list is filled with a lot of players with a rep of 10000 and who aren't in any competition.

My suggestion is to give the manager who haven't joined a competition -1 rep every week, this makes it more honest for the managers who are in a competition and gives a more representative view of the best managers at the moment.

Yeah half the people at 10000 rep aren't even in leagues

I agree. In the Hall of Fame should appear those players with 10,000 who are in an open league or are active. It would be fair...

This has been an issue for a long time and at one point, probably more than six months ago, the devs said they were going to improve HoF to make it so the best active managers were at the top. The last time it was properly discussed on this forum was about three months ago...

Increase Max Prestige

Bragging rights now seems to be the race to the bottom...

They shouldn't lose their reputation. It just would be nice if the active ones were shown first and the inactive ones after that. Or if their would be some kind of coloured symbol next to the manager. Green meaning that he currently is in a league and red that his account is atm not active. So everyone could see it on first sight.

Why shouldn't they lose reputation? that's the whole point of reputation in my opinion.

because you gain Reputation, because of good results and lose because of bad results. when someone has no results it should stay the same.

we had the same discussion in the other thread, a hall of Fame is about historic results and why should they be reduced? would you take Schumacher or Senna something away, because they do not compete?

we found also in the other thread, that many managers see it more as a ranking, like it is in Golf or Tennis, but then it should be called World ranking and not Hall of Fame.
My suggestion there, was that the devs could add a World ranking, maybe the Reputation points achieved in the last 30 days.

It would be easier to create two rankings. A historical one where active and inactive players appear... And another where only active players were. I was in position 36 in the HoF, but removing the inactive could have been in the Top 10...

Yeah would be easier, but way less precise.
there are 10000 managers being in easy leagues to just stay at 10000 and then there are some in top leagues, like me who still gain a lot of points, but are not shown, because of the cap. So if there is a ranking about current results/ current Performance it should take the actual results into Account.
would additional solve the suggestion to delete the cap and a manager would not need years to be in the ranking, what would happen with deleting the cap.

Bastian. I'm no mathematician but I imagine removing the cap would just lead to certain leagues accelerating away from all others because rep points would be self perpetuating.

Leagues with high average rep would result in the competing teams being awarded more rep points which would increase the average rep for the league which would result in competing teams being awarded more rep points which would increase the average rep for the league which would............ and on it goes.

Alternatively, you could remove the 100 bonus rep points that are awarded to the top 2 teams in two car leagues and top 4 in one car leagues. This would make it more difficult to remain at 10k because if you have one bad result you lose a lot of rep. At the moment, providing you finish in the top 2 (top 4 in one car leagues) you can easily recover that lost rep because of the 100 bonus points.

Automatically hide inactive accounts but provide users with a button to "view inactives". Like you said it's a HoF so we shouldn't go down the road of automatically subtracting rep from managers who have worked hard to get to the pinnacle of the HoF ranking just because they're no longer competing in a league.

One final thing, equal points ranking should be something like number of wins or championships. ATM the newest account is always at the top.

right should work like that, my concern with deleting the cap is the same like with all other factors in the Hall of Fame. newer players will never been shown there or reach the records, for example the championships, the 1. there has more than 60 titles and i have 8, so will never been shown there.

thats the great point about the cap it makes managers somehow comparable.
so to have a World standing a rolling window like in other areas (Tennis or golf) would be needed, to see the recent Performance and make it comparable.
