What's the benefit of more expensive fuel supplier?

I have the default provider. Only done 1 race, but my average fuel consumption was the same as another who has the most expensive, so not sure if it's worth going for or not. Is there a different benefit I've not thought of?

And the cost difference (compared to the drivers, the technicians cost and the engine costs) is tiny, so it does not make sense to not take the best. Same goes for the tyres.
