I was wondering if in the future, there would be a possibility of making an iGP App?
Im not suggesting it should be made straight away, just wondering of it is a possibility in years to come?

Just saying - a proper app will cost at least 30,000 euro to make, but probably three times that.

I would love an app that would provide the same data and control as the 2D version.

I meant a possible app when iGP becomes a large franchise, which I have no doubt it will do.

I certainly hope so - but I don't think the future is bright for apps - I think responsive html5 design is the way to go.

I agree 125% with that, its cheaper and more effective since you don't have to download it and take up space on your device

I agree about responsive design HTML5, but I think what an app would be best for is the race viewer itself, which is still Java-based.

I have a responsive design locally and will be putting it on the beta soon. So it's coming with the design system update. There is potential fort he race viewer to become an app, but that's not being developed at this stage.

How about an authenticated set of web services?? I'm an android developer and could write my own interface - I'd gladly share even.

In regard to this comment, I have the mobile timing working on iDevices by installing a 3rd party browser.  The one I use that does a great job is called "Dolphin"- check it out.  This way I can at least see my driver's times and then get frustrated that I cannot change her orders.

Windows Surface Pro is the only mobile device that can use Java Run Time.

Ya- I would imagine more is coming with the "soon to be" influx of Windows 8 tablets.  I would still give them some time to get the "kinks" worked out, plus I'm not exactly enthused about spending the amount of money required for a Windows 8 full (not 8 rt) tablet.
