What would people think of a 3rd car for a YDA driver? Like it could only be entered on maybe 12 events or something. It could be purchases from reward points at maybe 1200-1500 points or something like that?

Would give people a more realistic idea of who's a decent driver, the same way F1 used to be.

I've mentioned a while ago about having an official 2nd team that start off as rookies and free to join other leagues.

This sounds like a simular thing but just using your youth drivers only.. So to me, it sounds like a good thing. esp that it would be paid members only.

I'm not to sure about the setup of it, but it's not to bad.

Why not just start a new team?
Lots of people have B teams.

Is it not against The rules to have 2 teams

It isn't against the rules to have multi teams.. It's actually encouraged in some ways..

I think that an official 2nd team would be awesome if it's done correctly..

I am like most players who have been playing over a year and have over 100 million just sat doing not very much.. So I thought that investing in a 2nd team for 100 Million and that team having it own level starting at rookies would be good... It could be that you must run it in another league. idk.

It isn't against the rules to have two teams. But League managers are against this for their leagues.

How do you invest in a 2nd team ? can you transfer $ ??

I think that is what Jordan & Rob are suggesting. Currently you cannot transfer money, but if you could then you could run some sort of driver development program. I reckon it's a good idea

Transfering money would give a big advantage in competition. Rich team could put switch constantly between designers and mechanics/engineers. I think it's bad to have a 2nd team that in essence has an advantage on somebodies main team.

No no Jaap.. I didn't mean that you can switch money from one team to another..

It would work as 1 bank account for both teams... You could make it harder with sponcers seeing that it is a 2nd team and make it so getting the 1.5 per race is impossible, as no one would pay max sponcership to a 2nd side..

I would also have it that you could not put your main teams staff in to the 2nd team, as the levels would not allow it... but I would have it that you can take them from the 2nd team to the main team if you want to. (As long as you don't go above your main teams level.)

I would really opt against and I really don't think Jack and Andrew would go for a Money Transfer between teams, as it is a huge recipe for abuse.

I think it would be better just to have 3rd car to do practise runs with young drivers. Like you could only choose 1 driver for each event to do practise runs in a 3rd car. In that way you could atleast get some information about driver's ability.

Like how Ricardo did practice sessions with Toro Rosso

This is what I've meant, just couldn't explain it myself. Like when Ferrari ran a 3rd car for GIlles VIlleneuve in 1979 (I think) to see how good he was. We could do the same thing.

But in level 10, you can hire a young driver, what are the different between that, and what we are talking about here ?

this explains it.

yes but doesnt hiring him replace one of your drivers, we're talking about having a driver to use during the course of a race, so practice and then having your actual drivers do the rest.
