From what i have worked out all parts replacements/upgrades get done 30mins before a race. This is also the lock out time for your praccy runs to be done.
So if praccy is done with older parts, the new parts/upgrades are going to have a differing effect during the race. Could be better, could be worse.
In real F1, parts are fitted to the car before/during praccy, i think this needs to be done in iGP as well.
Thoughts?

in the real world a better part would change the setup for sure, but what about iGP ?

I think it would make more difference if worn parts had a bigger effect on the race. Right now it seems like part wear only risks in-race failure rather than progressive performance decay.

I might be wrong but the condition of your parts has no effect on the practice runs. This only applies to the race. One of the Mods will clarify.

I would be delighted to clarify that, but I do not know the answer.
I would have thought that the parts on the car for qualifying will be the same ones as are there for the race. But I will seek clarification

Condition has an effect on car performance, doesn't matter if it's practice, qualifying or race.
But the interesting point is that it doesn't matter which parts you will fit the setup stays the same.

"Condition has an effect on car performance, doesn't matter if it's practice, qualifying or race."
Right, so if the car practices and you work out the setup for that car with worn parts, then lock in the setup, the car would handle different with the new/replaced/upgraded parts. Therefore having an effect (good or bad) during qually and race.
"But the interesting point is that it doesn't matter which parts you will fit the setup stays the same"
The setup might stay the same, so whats the point in making new parts or upgrades if the car isnt going handle any different after fitting them?
In F1, teams strive for the competative edge, same here, teams spend $$$ developing their cars & parts to gain a competative edge and help their drivers win. But if we cant fit the parts before we do the practice laps, then go to qually & race with different parts fitted, that could cause differing effects on the cars handling that you havnt practiced with.

I think you misunderstood what I said.
The setup (car setup like front wing, rear wing) stays the same, doesn't matter if the part has 1 or 100%.
If you fit new parts which are faster than the old one the car will improve.

I have another question regarding parts.
When i start a race with new wings fitted, it shows them up as being yellow (like theyre worn or old). why would this be?
Shouldnt they be Blue, or green like when you have new tyres on board.

When you have fitted new parts those areas of the car should show as grey. As they wear they turn yellow & then red. Are you seeing brand new parts as yellow?

Sounds like you have the production setting too low.

That could be it. Thank you Jason
