I’m a new player, only been playing for 5 days. When I started I selected a start time that was convenient that day, but now wish I’d selected something completely different. I want to change leagues to something more convenient each day, my question is this. Do I switch at the end of my current season or the end of the season of a better timed league?

If you were to jump to another league right now you'd take a financial penalty starting from 1% of your cash balance. Assuming your new league hasn't start their season. Otherwise the deeper into the season your new league is the further behind you'll be in car development.

It's always best to join a new league during their end of season break.

OK sounds good. How long is the off season? Do I join straight after the last race ends or do I need to wait a day?

Assuming spaces are available, you can join your new league any time after the final race finishes and before Australia starts. A few pointers:

It’s always a good idea to keep your bank balance reasonably low, especially early in the game when you are more likely to be changing leagues in an attempt to find one that suits you. The penalty for leaving your current league is 1% of your total balance. 1% of £1m is a lot less painful than 1% of £100m 😉

If you have more than one CD (unlikely given your relative newness to the game) make sure you have the best one active when you join your new league as this is what your starting design will be based on.

You are only allowed to race in one league race in 24 hours. Be careful you don’t fall foul of this rule when jumping straight from one league to another. If you get your timings wrong you may be forced to sit out the Australia race in your new league.
