Winter testing to improve cars

Is there any option to allow some form of winter testing to improve a car pre-season? I can’t find this mentioned anywhere in a quick forum search but to me this would mimic an f1 standard and also allow a team to develop weaker areas of their design

As is right now, you can use QR as testing grounds. You have up to 20 laps to practice on any track at any time! 

We don't need more algorithm added to the game.

I'm with Hamlet. We do have an excellent way of testing similar car performance using QR although we cannot take those data to our cars in a straightforward conversion, because in QR all cars are capped to an equivalent of level 10 team.

I hope one day we can choose all variables (driver skills, car attributes, team technologies) in order to create truly testing QRs.

Right now QR private lobby allows you to choose the track you want to race on. Why not more variables to tailor fit it. That would almost make me think of just doing QR's.... lol!!!  OK, maybe not. But it would be something I would go to more often.

Using the time between league seasons could be used for 30 laps between of all the circuits to practice strategy and wing and ride heights
