The Eighth race of the season saw the iGP LIGA circus arrive at Silverstone, for the British Grand Prix.

Belgian driver Laurens Lemaire, leading the championship for Raven, was first out to qualify, having tuned his car for dry conditions. Rain however, was pooring, and Lemaire, seeking hopelessly for grip on dry-weather tires, qualified with a terribly slow time, which in the end all competitors would beat. Instead, it was veteran Jaan Saar who took pole position, ahead of teammate Ule, for Roostes Kardaan, followed by the both Wienerbrood cars.

When the race started, rain was still pouring, and all started on intermediate tires, except the Raven and Drago cars, who started on full wets, which turned out to be the right choice. Despite starting in sixth, Alexander Wilson was leading the race after the first lap, closely followed by reigning champion Hobart Pedersen, who started in eighth. Lemaire meanwhile was in third place, having gained seven positions in the first lap. Diaz was last of the getaway pack, which where heaps quicker than the cars on inters.

Saar was the first to make the move to full wet tires, which suddenly made his car work. From a gap of over fourty seconds, he began gaining on the leading pack rapidly, now having his sights on the podium again. Meanwhile, the other cars in inters refitted inters, hoping conditions would soon change, yet rain continued to drop ever fiercely. After lap 10, all the cars on inters where lapped.

From the leading pack, the Raven cars where first to pit, taking no chances and refitting wets once more. Drago racing would soon follow, with Wilson slowly edging away from Pedersen, who despite running with a dry-weather setup, looked really fast. All this time, Jaan Saar, who started the race from pole, kept closing in and almost had Lemaire in his sights. Yet then, rain began to drop slower and slower before ceasing completely.

Diaz took a gamble and went for inters, which made him the fastest car on track, but only for a little while. As soon as the track had run dry, his inters overheated and he had to come in again for dry weather tires. Saar pitted for the hard tire, hoping to finish the race on those, yet he struggled to get temperature in them, slowly losing time again, which put him firmly out of contention once more.

Instead, it was Wilson, Pedersen and Lemaire who would decide the winner, as the three pitted for soft tires, with Wilson fuelling his car very heavy, hoping to finish the race on softs. Pedersen and Lemaire would have to come in again, as the refuelled very little.

The strategic game had started, it was a fifteen lap dash to the finish, a one-stop versus no-stop. But on the dry track and less fuel, the Raven cars suddenly found heaps of speed, lapping over three seconds faster than the competition. Pederse and Lemaire quickly had a comfy twenty second lead over Wilson, who in the end had to make a pitstop as well. In the end, it was Pedersen who let his teammate passed.

With nine races to go, it's Lemaire who leads Wilson by 51 points, yet races remain ever unpredictable.
