Can some drivers be faster than others, even though they have the same stats ?

In other words, are there any 'special' drivers who can constantly outperform their rivals with similar stats? And if so, is there any way to identify them?

I would imagine if 2 drivers with exact same attributes .in same car,, with same setup, would be equal, but if in different teams, it would depend on the level of the development of that teams car...i may be wrong as i'm a 3rd season noob still

Various managers have suggested this several times, that there 'must' be hidden attributes. I am also a but curios on why my talent 19 driver tends to be faster than my talent 20 driver. My T 20 have better stats in everything but experience, and she is a female and 2 years younger. Either any of those stats is much more important than I thought or I must assume there are indeed hidden attributes.

Hopefully more experienced managers have some valuable input here, I am very curious.

EDIT: And if someone happens to look at my drivers statistics it is because I am forcing my T20 driver to win (not using boost and such on my T19 driver)

I have one team with nearly identical drivers. In some races dr1 is better, in others dr2. Both won 3DC. Of course, that only means these two are of same speed. 1x1

I've also noted some drivers of mine do better at specific tracks than their teammate season over season. Dixon keeps out running his teammate Parker regardless of what level or stats. The disparity has narrowed in recent seasons at Monaco. Parker will outrun Dixon at Singapore more often than not.
