I wonder if the game admins can tel me why it is that my teams did so badly in this race to the team that finished 1st and 2nd.

I don't understand how my drivers could have been so slow, even though that we are very close in performance.  Our tire wear is very similar, yet his lap times stayed constant and mine dropped of. to top it all I qualified on pole with my 1 driver.

There are so many factors that can have an effect on race pace.

E.g.
Did you both attend the live race or did you allow AI to manage your team?
New engines?
Repaired cars?
Driver health at start of race?
Totally different tyre strategies.
Spread of design points?...

...and many more.

So the race was at Monza and you went SS/soft/soft/soft. Do you know how to manage your tyre temperature?

I can see that you where faster in the beginning of each stint (should be the other way around since your fuel load goes down), which suggest to me that your tyres overheated and you dropped in pace because of it.

Gert, you are asking the admins?! It is up to you to find out! That is part of the game!

Thanks for the feedback guys. On the tire temps, I left the it on default push. As for attending the race, I let AI do the race fro me. Our car design was very close. Our tire design points was very close. It might have been all down to second race engine I think then.

You just gave 3 reasons why you were slow in that race in Italy:
1. using default push level in Italy with SS and S tyres on August 20th will have definitely cooked your tyres within a few laps, so your lap times will indeed drop off dramatically after a while.
2. not attending the race and letting AI race for you: not attending always gives you a disadvantage and certainly in Italy where missing the DRS once will put you on the back foot for the rest of the race. You were probably without DRS for most of the laps and that's a big deal in Italy.
3. using an old engine on a high speed circuit as Italy will also not have helped.
