Ok, so a lot of teams use boost on the last lap a lot of the time and i think that maybe a change could be made to get teams to stop that and also be more active in the race. My idea is boost weighing the car down, maybe 100% to 0% being around 0.5-1 second a lap. This would get teams to use boost more aggressively and not make last laps of races all about who has the most boost in the train. It would probably still have teams having boost to spare on last lap but just make all teams use boost more and use it more aggressively. Idk if this ideas good or not it just came to my head in a race and i thought i might as well throw it out there to see what people think

Absolutely is a good idea.

What makes it almost perfect is that it`s still an opened option not a mandate.  So I can still choose to hold on to it till the last lap or use it  to gain back some pace. And I think that`s where the issues may start....pace... 5-1 sec/lap is steep... one can find themselves out of a race within the 1st stint even if using it as you prescribe. Lessen the time/lap and you may have a winner here. Imo.

Good to see someone likes it :) yeah maybe 0.5-1s a lap is a bit too much, 0.2-0.4s? I think around 0.3 or something might be a perfect spot for it

Ok..... this is by far the most acceptable suggestions I`ve read in the forum addressing boost issues.  But that`s just it though, is it an issue?  off topic...

I like this idea bc it could change things up, or not. I mean, a top level manager is immune to this obstacles to slow them down. Guys like me though that are just starting to get into a groove may find ourselves at the back, or not.  For new players, they won`t know the diff...so is business as usual for them.

It might sound good but it's not realistic at all. In real life the energy from KERS is stored in a battery and batteries have pretty much the same mass whether they are charged or not.
