By that i mean more circuits preferably unique to igpmanager that a league manager can choose from.

So say the developers create and adds 8 new circuits, then a league manager can pick 20 races from the 25 available and schedule them in any order.
People can still stick with the old schedule if they want which can be like a default

Adding more circuits has been suggested a lot of time and it'll happen some time but not before all current problems are solved (e.g. server stability), which, I think, is the right order to do stuff.

+1 Jaap - yes there has been discussion about new tracks etc.  It will happen but other improvements are higher up the list at the moment. Also adding 1new tract is a huge amount of work (I think) so 8 would take about a year!! - lol!

I feel Canada, U.S., and San Marino should be added, if anything

Doesn't it make the most sense to have an updated calender rather than tracks which haven't been in F1 in about 10 years or even never in F1?

The calender used in iGP is the 2009 Calender so surely it would make more sense to have a 2012, 2013 or even 2014 Calender.

If you read the first post Bradly, the idea isnt to have an exact calender but lots of tracks and the league host chooses which tracks are used in a season

I see where Bradley is coming from, but there were some great F1 tracks in previous years.

South African and Dutch circuits to mention as well as Brands Hatch.

In fact for future development, if older circuits were available, you could run retro leagues, for those older ones amongst us.

Leagues running older tracks with older cars and their respective performances for instance.

Sure Tony, I'm not too sure about older car performances though

I too would love this.

More tracks: yes.

Custom calendars: eh... not big on this idea TBH.

Classic cars: I imagine that would be complicated to operate if it were running on the same system as this game. You'd completely have to rethink the physics. Take away the wings and basically all the aerodynamic parts. Redo the tires. It would basically be a whole different game (as it should be). I wouldn't mind playing such a game, but it shouldn't be part of this site; it should be a separate project. And only after this game matures.

Why not keen on custom calenders James ?

Right now all the leagues run the same calendar (in that it's the same tracks in the same order). If you let each league choose their own races there will be tracks that some managers will never see. This would probably be less of an issue for those of us who are experienced at the game, but it steepens the learning curve for new managers. The way it is now, every manager sees every track in the course of a full season. If you allow custom calendars it doesn't present equal opportunity to learn how all the tracks work.

I think for a league like I run where it's just a group of mates then the custom calender would spice things up a bit with new tracks. I wouldn't say no to it.

I see. But a league host would have the choice of whether or not to use different tracks to the 'default'. So if you want to race with the 'default' calender, then you join a league that is using it. Simple.

Many things wrong with these ideas....

1. is again the new system.. So it's pointless talk until that happens...

2. Each track has + and - for each team.. So teams are better on certain tracks.. you know that some managers will abuse this and take out the ones they are not so good on..

3. You will have to have the exact ammount of tracks as everyone else.. If not, you'll have leagues with 10 tracks and the winners will get a bonus every 10 tracks and others will be doing the full season.. So end up losing out and then kick offs on the forums over this manager is exploiting xp and so on.. To counter this.. A whole bonus points system will have to be made.. and that just will not happen.

So to sum it up. Nothing will happen until the new system is released and then we will wait for the devs to sort any updated tracks and so on... Sorry, but that is how it is for the momento. :D

Your 3rd point; there was no suggestion of having different length seasons

Second point; Every system can has the potential to be abused. I think you would have to weigh that agaist the potential of the suggestion to add something new to the game

Lastly, why is it pointless to talk because there is an incoming update? With that argument, the entire suggestions section of the site is pointless
