I am rookie. My setup reported to be ideal from  the driver was:
Suspension: Neutral
Ride Height: 16
Wing Level: 11
Why is the difference? Is it the level of my car or just my inexperienced driver can't tune the car to reach your settings?
Would my car be faster if I used your setup?

I see sometimes in practice during setup that the ideal setup is not the fastest.

Just as in real life, different drivers have different preferences. Put Hamilton in Bottas car and he would be nowhere. When you run in a 2 car league, you also notice that both your drivers (often) want different setup.

The lap times are not "static". A driver can never drive 2 identical laps. He/she will have good laps and bad laps. If you had faster laps that was not reported as "ideal setup" it is all down to coincidence.

The setups suggested here is only to give you a rough idea on how to set your car, so the setup will be faster.

Anyway, if you always start at 16, then decrease or increase by 8, then by 4, then 2 and lastly 1. You will cover the range form 1-29, which should cover almost everything unless perhaps there is extreme weather (snow etc).

So i calculated pit duration for France, in Joey’s scale, France would be 19

Ouch.... 19 would be a turtle pit stop....

My lap data suggest a loss in lap time between 18-22 seconds per pit stop.

Correct, sir. In and out time combined was 15,2 sec in last race. Add pit stop itself and we’re looking at about 19 to 20 seconds

Canada almost feels like Monaco in that once you build a lead gap....you have a pretty good chance of winning.  Love how the pits are set up.... Hate the exit though.... it's just crazy slow...

Wet weather setup is always +12. Can sometimes be +13. So wet weather setup is:

Suspension: Neutral
Ride height: 29
Wing Level: 20
Note: This may be different for some players. Taller drivers demand less ride height and smaller drivers demand more ride height. I'm doing my setup based on 171cm and all 20 driving stats(barring talent). If your drivers have less driving ability they will demand higher wing levels.
