hi people, just curious if anyone actually adjusts push levels frequently during a lap? Or do you just set it to a level (keeping tyres mid temp) & then adjust it occasionally every 4/5 laps to either warm/cool tyres etc, massive thanks for anyone who responds or can offer information, ???

I usually change it every few corners when battling someone for position but when i have just my two cars I'm in lower push level with the car ahead and higher with car behind, so they can stay in drs. Also use PL5 on starts to gain position, at and on in laps and out laps (to keep up with the overcut if it's faster)
Also if you see the dot on the tyre temperatures, that's the ideal temperature. Just a little below or above can cost 1-2 tenths a lap

If you don`t think PL are functional, check your performance when your are not adjusting them or you don`t show up to live races. They serve a purpose and like any other variable it`s subject to manager`s skills and know-how. It takes seasons of note taking and observations to determine what works and what doesn`t.
