hello,
during training i can drive the fastest times with the softest tyre.
during the race it looks like eich tyre has the same laptime only degredation is different per tyre.
in my curent race one driver is running the medium tyre the other one the supersoft. fuel load is the same on both cars and also the driver levels and stats are almoust equal. (the driver on the SS tyre is slightly lower but has a littlebit more health)
why is it like that?

what track and what temperature? Do you know how to control your tyre temp and what the optimal tyre temp is? You need to push harder on mediums to get the same temperature as you would on softs, hence also consume more fuel. Fuel has weight, weight slow you down. Mediums are a bit more stable and easier to control regarding tyre temp. During long straights the temperature goes up, faster on softs than on mediums, and if your softs overheat they will be slower and mediums might even be faster.
On many tracks the difference between the compounds is not extremely big, but try the same test in monaco, and then try it at monza. You will see the difference.

yes, both cars have the tyres in optimal temprature
both cars drive with exactly the same amount of fuel (the guy on the medium has 0.3 liters more)
still the medium is faster
in monaco its impossible to get a medium tyre on temp.

Ok, good that you know about tyre temperature. I don't know what to say but mediums are definitely not the fastest tyre on all tracks and temperatures. If you join an active league with more managers and try to only run mediums you will not win.
You never answered what track and what temperature it was you tested in? Looking at your league page it looks to be canada. It took 11 laps for your Mediums guy to overtake your softs. For the first 10 laps your softs where pulling away (+8.5s lead on lap 10). WHat happened on lap 11? Yeah your softs made a pitstop.
You made 5 pit stops on softs and only 3 pit stops on mediums. Pitstops takes time.
Your medium tyre driver is T19. Max stamina and +5KG from optimal weight.
Your soft tyre driver is T18. With only 11 stamina and +19KG from optimal weight.
It is not strange at all that your medium tyre guy won that race.

First of all, Training laps have no barrings on actual race lap times.
Are your cars at the lead when you observed this circumstances? If not, is there a big enough gap between the leading car and your 2nd car?
If you answered yes to either question, then the reason your lead car is faster is bc he`s benefiting from cleaner air than your 2nd car. One of the main reasons why once you get in front of the pack in Monaco you`re gone!
Strategically speaking you want to keep your 2 cars together and the lead car with one lower PL than your 2nd car. This is so your lead car doesn`t take off on you.
I could write an Nick B-like-essay here about tire temps and their respective dynamics. Today my league`s host said something that also makes sense and that is "the problem is not how quickly your tires heat up, but rather how quickly they can cool off.
