To carry out the fact that I have now raced with the same driver since January, I will cover up whether age makes a difference in performance.
And to be completely honest, my driver is now at 30 years old and has not got a cliff to show performance-wise just yet. It is still up to debate when she will get replaced because I have an academy driver fully trained up, but I will keep you posted as to how her performances change!
Here is the driver addressed in this post: https://igpmanager.com/app/d=driver&id=5356023

I hope I'm not spoiling anything, but age doesn't do much of anything except serve as a retirement clock 😂

Drivers don't drop off in performance as they age. They also seem to begin considering retirement as early as 34, but start thinking about it more and more at 36 years old and beyond.

I fired a driver in February 2018, and shortly after he retired on his own!
Although an anomaly, he retired at age 31! Pulled a Nico Rosberg.

Well hehe that's a shame xD I thought there may be something going on especially because some said that when age 35 or so, they went like "ahhh he's lost his fire" and straight-up replaced him... well that's made things clear xD

Some veteran and experienced players say that there's a performance drop-off after 30-31 years old. I'm not sure if that's true, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Update: Today was the champion day for Jolene, with 5 races to run, the gap can't be caught up anymore! That is now 10 titles starting from age 18 to now almost 31. Let's see how she fares even later on...

I have a driver, Harris that is 39 this season and still no sign of retirement. haven't noticed any considerable drop off, but it seems to me that the older they get the worse they qualify compared to younger, which seems to qualify rather well, and therefore its harder to win with bad quali therefore making it seem like they aren't as good as they used to be. But that's just my experience.

Yes, kinda seen the same now that you say it, but they are definitely better at racecraft. Experience plays a part in keeping a lead consistent but young drivers can have explosive pace followed by errors. My view on it so far

I feel they drop after 30ish compared to my younger second driver
