How can I run out of fuel, when I have 1 stint left??

It is not the stint, it is how much you have in the tank. Perhaps, your diriver has low decisions and thought he could go 1 more lap?

Strange never had this happen before.
So I can't rely on my driver to stop before he runs out of fuel?
Doesn't make sense to me, if I can be absent, and the driver still finishes the race, I shouldn't have to
mico-manage him to finish the race

simply get a better driver.. or at ur level, a driver with a better decision rating

if u changed your push level for the last lap (High push level) then u can run out of fuel on final lap if u r running tight on fuel.

This.

The drivers decision to pit the lap earlier is based on his current push setting for that lap. So if you were on 1/5 for the second to last lap, they judge their fuel for the final lap based on 1/5 push level. So if you change to 5/5, there's a good chance to will run short if you were already marginal.

So what you are all saying is that the fuel strategy I setup makes no difference.
If the driver/car can run out of fuel BEFORE using all fuel stops, what's the point of setting a race strategy

If your stratgey includes the fuel needed to push at various points in the stint, then you will be fine

Thanks Edwin. That's what I've been trying to confirm.
