Hi all.
What tyres are used in qualification? The tyres we set to run the first part of the race or with game pre-determinated softs/hards?

How do i use DRS/Kers in race and when to use it?

Thanks for helping this noob...

Ok, i've read it, and it answered my questions, but not all...

Since i don't have 2D view, where can i see where are the DRS zones, in the time live viewer?

And another thing, what's the purpose (practical side) of KERS? Meaning, when and why to use it?

Sorry, but it's puzzling me...

u wont see DRS zones in live timing. U just has to know which sectors it is and u would know when the DRS is activated. Just ask a player in ur league with 2D viewer where ur car is n in which sector DRS is. It is automatic so u dnt have to worry about activating DRS. For KERS, it is practical if say u want to get into the DRS zones so that u can overtake. But there is also the option of getting out of it. Also KERS can either be automatic or activated by yourself. Also I think u knw that before u reach Level4, u wont have DRS and before you reach level 6, u wont have KERS.

In real life, KERS gives a small temporary boost of power when activated. The KERS power lasts for a few seconds, then needs recharging.

In iGP, however, it is a bit different. It's like having a nitrous oxide canister on board or having an afterburner fitted to your car. Unlike real life it cannot be recharged, but when it is activated you get a SIGNIFICANT increase in performance. If you activate the KERS in a DRS zone, you can pass five or more cars in a single straightaway.

In other words, KERS is not only essential, but you probably cannot win a race without it. So when you CAN get it, DO get it.

To give an idea, running a full lap with KERS manually activated is worth about 4 or 5 seconds a lap on every track in the game. (A full KERS charge is typically long enough to run just over one lap.)

I'd say it's nigh-on impossible to win without KERS if you are in a competitive league with active managers.
