Sounds like the game did exactly what you asked it to do then, and not a bug.
You set Wets as main strategy and told the game engine to fit Inters when it rains and water level is above 0mm.
So if there was 3.7mm of water in qualifying, then the game correctly put you on Inters.

In the past it didn't do this, it didn't look at advanced strat anymore when Inters or Wets were selected as main tyre, but looks like that old bug is then fixed now.

In the main strategy did you select Inters for stint 1?
I think the advanced strategy only kicks in for qualifying if it is raining AND you have selected a dry compound for the first stint. If you have already selected one of the wet compounds for stint 1 and it is raining the game assumes you know best and that's the tyres you qualify and start the race on.

As I always say to people in my League: main strategy is the place for dry tyres, so chose dry tyres there and wet tyres in the advanced options, then if you are watching change your stints to wet tyres.

Hi Tony. You chose Wet where? Main strategy or Advanced strategy?
What tyres did you select for stint 1 main strategy?
What wet tyres did you set for your advanced strategy and at what water depth?

wet for main strat. i left advanced as default, so i guess 0/inters

So yes, agreed that is not how it should work, I will escalate to the iGP Team and thank you for reporting it.

Thanks Gert. I didn't realise that this had changed. My understanding was that if a wet compound is selected for stint 1 in the main strategy then that is what is fitted for qualifying / stint 1 if it rains and advanced strategy is ignored. It would be great if the devs would share the advanced strategy logic with all users. Apologies for the misinformation Tony.

Same happened in my league, plus I ignored advanced strategy at all.
