Currently I have Komehome tires on my first season. I hardly know what I'm getting myself  into.
My first race is at Australia of course(50%), and I don't just wanna mindlessly set my pit stops and fuel loads.
I did what my technical director recommended, and I calculated 4.3L per lap, and 2 stops, which are both to the Soft
compound tires. I then set my first stint as the shortest with 39 L of fuel and then the other two 44L of fuel.

Also, I believe I have the worst drivers in my league, but I hope I can at least get some points.
I also need a mentor of sorts, and back to my title question, how do you calculate tire wear?

Its all a learning experience so you'll have to learn in your first race. Take as many notes as you can about serup, tyre wear, strategy and what others do. That should inform the decision for future seasons. You'll also have your cars data in the race results to see how tyre wear went.

if you don't want to wait, try and watch other races at Oz to see what happens. Whilst you won't be able to see all the data as they're not your cars, you should get an idea of what's best.

Your technical director in most cases isn't correct so would suggest you add 0.5L per lap to be safe.

@ Carlo - but they are not the best atm.
I could give you all the stats for each tyre but that is part of what you learn by playing the game.

Good luck Doctor Licka as you sound like someone keen to understand how it all works.

Things like get a Murk and Bridgerocks etc. are something to consider after a first season. Sure, it will give extra performance but when you're new and others in the league are not, you'll end up somewhere to the back anyway.

Wonder which tyre is better than the Bridgerocks though. Recently switched from Goodweek to Bridgerock and at least that seams to go better.

I spent a lot of my first seasons trying out all the different suppliers and noting down their stats.
I think this may have changed over time but maybe not.................
