Why are you penalized when switching leagues? I switched from one elite league to another, with 3 races to go in the league I went to. everyone was maxed on design and I was penalized over half my design and given back 48 points to "even" out cars.
Now I'm not even competitive and it had my objective as finishing 3rd so I lost reputation and alot of money.
How it this fair?

When leaving a league, penalties may be applied to a team. The exact penalties will be listed before you complete the action for your consideration. This system prevents league-hopping, relegation dodging and any other clever tricks you might think up!

Moving from one league to another in the middle of it's season, I think most use the the phrase when referring to people who swap to easier leagues just to take championships from less experienced managers.
