Tyre options after lock-in

Before the lock-in, it was heavily raining (5mm water) in Canada. So I saved my strategy on Wets. The rain stopped after Qualifying and the track dried up quickly. When I went LIVE, I was able to choose only between Inters and Wets, while others could change to Dry Tyres. Anyone knows, why I was not able to choose the dry ones? Was this a bug or does it have to do with anything else?

First thought is did you activate advanced setup and if yes did you change it? You must have if you were to start on wets initially. 

No, I did not activate the advanced strategy, since I intended to join the LIVE race. So I ignored it, because I understood that the advanced strategy is just for the case when I can not join the race. Did I misunderstood here something? I started on WETs, because I saved the basic strategy on WETs, since I thought I could swap the tyres, when weather condition changes after Qualifying. What am I missing here?

Your not missing anything. Maybe it's the other way round then. But it's just a guess since I haven't had that scenario yet.

If in the main strategy you chose wets then your only options are rain tyres!


If you switched advanced strategy ON, then selected Soft tyre in main strategy and in advanced strategy chose wet tyres then you will have option to change tyres to either inters or soft tyres as selected in main strategy!
