My driver keeps deciding to pit (J Thomas) seemingly for no reason.  Race ID: 4354.

Now he didn\'t pit when he was supposed to and my race is over...

Sorry about this, I cant yet explain why it is happening.  I can see records where you were cancelling the driver\'s decisions to pit, but don\'t have any log showing that the driver did actually decide to pit.  So at the moment it seems as though the PIT button was incorrectly changed to PITTING on your viewer for some reason, even though the driver had not actually decided to pit.  I can\'t yet explain why your driver didn\'t pit of his own accord for fuel either.  Could you just confirm that you were deselecting the PITTING button several times during the race? Thanks.

Hey Andrew.  Yes, I deselected the pit button at least three times (possibly four) - that is hit the green PITTING button.

When it came time for him to actually pit, I assumed he would automatically pit and didn\'t notice he wasn\'t until he was nearly at the pit entrance.  I hit the button PIT but it was too late.

Ok thanks.  From looking at the simulation logs I can\'t see why he didn\'t pit either.  For some reason he didn\'t even consider pitting.  I\'m still working on it.

Thanks Andrew.  I know this probably won\'t help but there were a lot of gaps in the timing and lag around that time as well.  Some people were 5 laps behind the action. Hitting F5 in the applet helped though.  I also joined the race late ( about 12 laps in I think).

Also, I don\'t remember the first lap he tried to pit.  But it seems it could have been around the time that the fuel load for that stint would have been low if he had started on lap 1.  That is, if I had put 65L in on lap 1 and had not pit yet (rather then 65L on lap 7/8).

Hopefully that makes sense.

Just want to add that I noticed from the last race I was in, that my driver\'s random decisions to pit might be connected to F5 refreshing in the applet.  The particular race that spawned this post had a lot of lag so I was refreshing a lot.  But last night I refreshed only once or twice and my driver decided to pit afterwards.  Tonight I will be able to see if this is indeed the case.

Ive just had this exact problem it said my drivers wanted to with with 20 Litres of fuel so i canceled it then they just diddnt pit and ran out costing my 2 podium spots.

Lewis, had you been using F5 as Marc was?  It\'d be a big help if I could narrow down the problem to that.  Thanks.

I never pressed F5 until after it happend and it loaded the same point in the race so i wasnt behind or anything.

After the last race, I\'m pretty confident this happens when the applet gets refreshed for some reason (either voluntarily or not).  In my last race the applet restarted twice (I\'m assuming due to lag?) and both times the pit icon went green maybe 20 seconds after loading back up.  This also caused my driver to not pit automatically later when he should (but luckily for me I was on top of it this time!).

Other people in the race had the same problem (applet reloaded for everybody at the same time) and some didn\'t catch it, so they pitted when they didn\'t want to.  Those who didn\'t have this problem also didn\'t have the pit strategy box open, so it seems to occur on a refresh if the pit box was open before the refresh.

One last thing, when the applet reloads the pit strategy box turns into a two driver box but with the right side blank (one driver race).

I always have the strategy window open and the same thing happens though I race with 2 drivers.

Same problem for me last race, I lost count how many times it happned during whole race.
