After the season ended I attempted to train my driver. Came to find that his progression slowed dramatically and will only gain up to 5 points of progress. Is this normal?

Hi Andrew,
The closer the driver's level is to your own level, the slower the progress will be. And when the driver is above your level (like in your case: you are level 5 and your driver William Brown is level 6), he will show as red stars and will progress only 3% per training session.
