Hi Guys,

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, did a quick search but couldn't find the specific answer.

Relative newbie here, just coming to the end of my first season (3 races to go) after joining a league a couple of races into the season, and I just have a question about car development for next year.

I am currently on track to have my next seasons car developed to around 60%+ in time for the new season, I then plan to focus on next years car again before switching to the current year around halfway through the season. What I have heard whilst browsing the forums is that having a too highly developed car can affect the development of next seasons car...ie.  if I started next season at 80% then the development for next seasons car would be slower than if my current car was at 50%.

Could anyone confirm if that is the case as I don't want to develop next years car any further if it will impede development of the subsequent season.

Apologies again if it's not clear what I mean, talking about current season, next season & the season after that can get very confusing!

yes, the higher your current season car is the slower the development of next seasons car.  60-70% to start a season seems to be the accepted range as a starting point, early focus on next then switch to this season.

Cheers Bill, looks like i should just scrape in on the sweet spot then, just didn't want it to have a detrimental effect on next season! :)
