What did you try to do?
Drs worked on the last lap of japan (home stretch). Instead of 'fading out' like it does on all other tracks. Bit annoying as it cost me a position

I'm not sure what you meant by this report. Once activated DRS stays active for all laps of the full race as long as there's not 1mm+ water on the track. It's just that on some tracks the DRS begins further from the finish line than others, on some no DRS zone on that straight at all and finally Spain were the DRS line is after the finish line (which is also the reason it looks like it comes on one lap early even though the cars are actually in lap 3 already).
If you meant you were overtaken after the finish line then the cause was most likely lag. To some extent the viewer has to predict what to show as some latency between server and clients can't be avoided technically (yet).

No, a while back IGP stopped DRS working on the last lap if it is just before the finish line.
At japan it didnt 'fade out' like it does at every other track
