Hi, our season has just ended and as usual we all checked to see how good our new car is likely to be.
Now, I'm not sure if it's deliberate or a bug or a quirk of the new design points structure but the 2 people who were promoted into Elite have cars that are much better than anyone else, I'm not talking 5 or 6 points but it looks like 20 or so points across the board.
Is this a bug or is it a design feature?

By that much it looks like a bug to me. My guess would be that the calculation adapting the Pro design is now doubling their design points as per the difference in the design range, however the point generation is still the same and thus it should be plus 25% if I'm not mistaken.

Due to another report of this Kevin has already put up an inquiry, so we should have an answer and/or fix soon.

Thanks, just to give you an idea of the difference now that I have the figures, there's a 50 point difference between most teams Acceleration and the newly promoted Teams. That's without suppliers.

Do you know if there's any development on this issue? Our new season starts tomorrow (Sunday) and we have 2 teams who are way out ahead of the others. Some teams are saying that it's going to really spoil the season for the majority of teams.

The bug itself is fixed to my knowledge. About those 2 teams, I can mark your post to ask support if they can bring them more in line with the other teams, you could ask them to rejoin the league but I'd advise against it as to my knowledge their starting design would be much worse than the established teams or, since they seem to be much lower level than everyone else if I'm not mistaken, you high level manager grant them that running start into the season.

Yes, that was my intention, it might make for an exciting season but I'm getting slightly annoyed comments from others.
Still, it's better this than the way F1 is heading this year 😉
