Hi! I'm wondering about the usage of KERS in this game. Normally in real live it's by lap, 6,7 seconds of KERS per lap. But someone told me that KERS in iGP it's just per race there is no recharge.

How is it in iGP? It's like in real life or it's the version that someone told me?

Thanks for the help! I've just reached to level 6, and I now have KERS.

Other question, does I need to push the button or just click it?

Nuno, Your quantity of kers will build during the opening laps. Once full that is the amount you have for the entire race, it is not replenished

Oh, ok. But can you explain better? I don't start with full KERS? It will built just in the opening laps? How much time does it work?

You'll build you bar at different speeds on each track... Monza takes a long time to charge up because there is little breaking on that track.. Some tracks will only take 3 or 4 laps where as others with take 5 or 6. So it is dependant on each track.

Once the bar is fully charged, there are 2 ways of using it.. 1st is to let the driver use it as and when they so wish or you can go to the options and un-click the "Drivers control Kers" and then you can use is as and when you wish... It's an average of just over 1 lap worth if you hold it down constantly... It also does not re-charge.. So use it wisely.

Is that enough info Nuno ? I hope that helps you out.

But can I use it if it's not fully recharge?

Sorry to Necro a thread, but it didn't want to create a new topic on the same thing, and couldn't seem to find an answer elsewhere.

It mentions above that you can tick somewhere in settings to enable/disable kers for the driver. Mine seems to be used by me as a default, but I think I shall miss the next race live, and would like to stick it on auto for the driver rather than miss out. I cannot for the life of me see where this option in in the menus I have looked at, an help would be much appreciate? I am not yet a subscriber if this makes any difference to functionality/options?

many thanks in advance
Adam

It will use KERS every time when you don't unckeck it in the menu in live timing. When you're not in the live timing it will automaticly use kers

Is this still true if you join a race, disable auto-KERS, and then leave without re-enabling the option? Does the system turn it back on, or do you have to do it manually?

That's a good question James.

I will ask

I think you would still have to do turn it back on manually.  I don't think the system would be able to over-ride your options.  How would it 'know' you had left.

That's right. If you untick it in live timing it remains so, even if you leave the race. So you'll have to tick it again before leaving if you want your driver to use it as he wishes.

Jake & Roderick are correct

it's the same as push levels, and it even is with using kers. If the game crashes at the moment you're pressing the kers button, the game will keep using kers untill you can rejoin.
