Hi in my league we've already had a few situations where a VSC has triggered within the last 3 laps and although the elite tier is active (all managers below 30hours since last activr today) one person had a suspension failure causing a complete halt to those actually racing. With the option you can at least choose if you want the variability the VSC introduces or all managers to have complete control over the last few laps which matter the most in close racing. Think in my league the car that triggered it was trying to stockpile parts and just got unlucky with the low probability of failure chance but I don't know the thresholds for when it triggers regarding the state of the car so hard to say.

The turning off of DRS for 1 lap can make and break what people are attempting and it's hindering those who are building a certain tactic. For example, If I positioned myself in second for the last lap around China when we're both out of kers to then have the turning off of DRS gifting that battle to the other person by pure chance.

I always say that we need to give players a option to choose what they want in their league

It was mentioned in another post that this occurs for people who have "not been on line or repaired their car for quite a few races (4 or 5 at least). So the simple solution for those (like me) who dislike these race changing events is to kick managers who don't repair their cars."

But as mentioned the person who activated the VSC falls under the "repaired their car for quite a few races" and the only reason someone would knowingly do this while active is because of a lack of parts so for those managers so maybe are low level and haven't improved their manufactory a lack of parts is to be expected and a tactic for those could be to run an unrepaired car just to accumulate parts. This is a legitimate tactic for low levels to have the number of parts to have complete seasons for a while without worrying but others shouldn't be impacted by this.

Yeh, that was me and someone else has already pointed out that kicking managers for inactivity in lower tiers ends up disabling promotion which affects the active managers striving to reach the higher tiers.

Your reasoning about people not having sufficient parts to repair their cars is also valid. Kind of wish I'd never said it now LOL.

In my defence, in an active well attended and competitive Elite tier.... kick 'em!
